Incheon, Incheon Gwang'yeogsi [Inch'n-Kwangyokshi]

Position Title: MS/US Educational Technology Integration Coach

Reports to: Director of Educational Technology

Receives Guidance From: MS and US Principals

Within the Campus Collaborates with: Middle & Upper School Principals, IB Programme Coordinators, Technology Team, other EdTech Coaches

Among the Campuses Collaborates with: Those responsible for Technology Integration and innovation

Rationale for the position:

The MS/US Educational Technology Integration Coach is an instructional coaching role with a strong, pedagogically driven focus on leveraging educational technology to enhance curriculum, teaching, and learning. Coaching is a non-evaluative, learning relationship between the coach and the educator.

This individual serves as an on-site professional developer and pedagogical partner who works closely with educators and curriculum leaders to identify, plan, and assist with the implementation of highly effective, inquiry-focused, and transdisciplinary teaching practices related to educational technology. The coach must have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning, specifically within the framework of the IB's MYP and DP curriculum, as well as a human-first approach to technology in educational settings.

The ideal candidate is a proactive "doer" who takes initiative and acts as a leader in emerging technologies, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI), through a deeply pedagogical and human-centered lens. The focus of this role is entirely on coaching ability and best practices over basic technical "how-to"; conversations must always center on using tools to support optimal teaching and learning rather than the tools themselves.

The coach is committed to the principles of effective coaching, including Jim Knight's Impact Cycle, and has a strong understanding of pedagogical frameworks for technology integration such as the ISTE Standards and Essential Conditions, SAMR, and TPACK. It would be a significant advantage if the candidate is also familiar with Danielson's Framework for Teaching (2025) to understand the context of faculty growth. As a future-forward learner committed to ongoing professional development, this coach not only guides internal growth but also seeks to put Chadwick International on the map by actively participating and presenting at hosted events, workshops, and regional or international conferences. The coach deeply understands the evolving demands of digital literacy, cybersafety, balance, and privacy necessary for student success in an AI-driven digital world.

Responsibilities:

A. Hands-On Support for Students and Teachers
  • Observe, model, and support the effective, transformative, and human-first use of technology directly in the classroom.
  • Meet and plan hands-on with grade-level teams and departments to support unit and curriculum development, with a distinct focus on inquiry, transdisciplinary connections, and standards-connected technology integration.
  • Empower teachers to take risks with innovative learning practices and AI integration, fostering a culture of experimentation, critical thinking, and growth.
  • Continually reinforce a culture of collaboration and shared pedagogical best practices across the Middle and Upper Schools.
  • Develop highly relevant learning resources for teachers and students (websites, tutorials, interactive programs, databases) that support the purposeful integration of technology.
  • Lead dynamic professional development and training sessions for a wide-ranging audience of colleagues across different subject areas, and directly support student initiatives and grade-level projects.
  • Lead the planning and support for key schoolwide testing such as MAP and support the data analysis and conversations about meaning and impact of the data.
B. Leadership in AI, Emerging Tech, & Professional Growth
  • Lead institutional conversations, ongoing research, and strategic pilots around Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, keeping a firm depth of knowledge on various AI-related tools and their pedagogical impacts.
  • Collaborate with the Educational Technology team to plan and facilitate regular EdTech PD sessions.
  • Share best practices with the in-school coaching team and actively participate in personal/professional learning networks.
  • Identify, communicate, and pilot new educational technologies for the express purpose of applying these tools to support student and faculty learning, growth, and development.
  • Actively present at hosted events, external workshops, and educational conferences to share the school's advancements and pedagogical successes.
  • Use coaching models like Jim Knight’s Impact Cycle to work with teachers and engage in coaching conversations and the coaching cycle.
C. Division and Systems Alignment
  • Work alongside Division Principals and IB Programme Coordinators to develop, refine, and execute a pedagogically sound technology integration plan for the Middle and Upper Schools.
  • Research and share global trends in software, curriculum, AI utilities, and teaching strategies, prioritizing future-forward and inquiry-based practices.
  • Collaborate with the Technology department to develop and implement strategies, informing backend management and hardware decisions (e.g., Macbooks and iPads) based strictly on active learning needs.
  • Collaborate on the student advisory program, ensuring a robust curriculum covering digital citizenship, AI ethics, and data privacy.
  • Working with the Technology teams and divisions to ensure effective data integrations and effective workflows.
  • Focus heavily on leveraging core curriculum systems and tools—specifically ManageBac, Google Workspace, and Veracross—to enhance daily teaching and learning, rather than functioning as basic technical troubleshooting support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including essential administrative and divisional duties.
D. Community Engagement
  • Identify teacher and student skill and comfort levels with technology and AI tools to effectively support individualized professional growth.
  • Hold targeted training sessions for students and teachers relating to the optimal use of school-provided platforms, including onboarding for new faculty and students.
  • Provide clear education, workshops, and training for the CI parent community about living, learning, and navigating boundaries in an AI and digital world.
